For a day filled with custom Chevrolets, this
year's Chevy Fest was one show not to
miss. On August 15-17, 1997, Chevy Fest brought
all the best of the West together. This years show hosted
by Golden Gate Camaros, and it was held in historical
downtown Campbell, California for the first time. This
location provided for the perfect spot for a show. The
crowds started gathering early Sunday morning, and by
mid-afternoon the streets were filled with people. There
were pro-streeters, classics, hot rods, and trick trucks
everywhere you looked, and an entire side street filled
with new Chevy Impalas. The weather was excellent with temperatures in the high 80s all day. The downtown sidewalks were lined with spectators taking in some shade, and conversations on what car or truck they fell in love with. Around four oclock in the afternoon the crowd started gathering around for the awards ceromony. With over 60 award being passed out for the show, there were alot of people with smiling faces finishing there weekend off right. Check out our photo book for highlights of some of the best trucks from the event. |
