Danny Owens' Mazda

Keep it simple is what Danny Owens did with his truck. To add a little color, Danny chose to have his truck painted with a wild shade of Sunburst Orange. To get the right stance, he brought down the front of his truck by removing the torsion bars and bumpstops. He then added dropped A-arms and firestone air bags for a comforable, adjustable ride. In the rear, he added 3-inch lowering blocks and pulled 4 leaf springs out of the pack. Danny assures us that a C-notch and lowered springs are in future plans to help level out the current sport-rake appearance.

Danny tinted the windows and is now in the process of stitching the interior in tan tweed. Inside the cab, Danny already has 2 kicker xpl 12-inch woofers powered by an orion 225hcca. Future plans for the stereo include adding 6 more kicker 12's for a total of 8. Danny fabricated a catback exhaust to squeeze a little more power out of his stock engine and add some attitude to his truck's exhaust note. Danny says that a true sport truck is never finished, and his truck is proof of that. It also proves that simplicity is important when customizing a truck.
