Nick's S-10 Blazer

This '89 Blazer belongs to Nick Mahler of Burkburnett, Texas. To begin his wild ride, Nick lowered his truck using Belltech components. The front was lowered 4-inches using 2-inch dropped spindles, and Eibach springs. The rear of the truck was lowered using 2-inch drop leaf springs and 2-inch blocks, making a 4-inch drop. Nick chose Belltech nitro drop shocks on all four corners to help smooth out the ride, and also added urethane bushings and hugemongous front and rear sway bars.

Under hood is a ram air induction and Turbo City injector and throttle body spacers. To help breathe, the truck uses K&N filters, and to boost performance, a stage 3 hypertech chip was plugged in. The shifts are aided by a B&M shift kit in the 700R4 tranny. All that power it sent to a 3.73 posi rear. The truck goes 0-60 mph in 5 seconds, and recorded a best 1/4 mile time of 12.8 seconds at 116 mph.

The exterior has been painted '97 Ford boisenberry blue with 6 different pearls added. All emblems, roof rack, molding, and rear bumper were removed or shaved to create a smooth surface for the paint. Out back, a sir micheals roll pan smoothes the rear, and Belltech ground effects add some style. A polished rear wing was added to the rear, while the front of the truck features a billet grille insert and PIAA driving lights.

Wheels are 16-inch polished Eagle Hammers with special milled aluminum center caps. Inside the truck, Nick added a custom blue tweed and leather interior, along with billet inserts. The stereo consists of a Kenwood cassette deck and CD-changer, Phoenix gold amps and processors, 4-power 12's by Rockford, and focal mids and ID horns.

The truck has appeared three times in MiniTruckin' and twice in Truckin' magazine. Nick is a member of Down-N-Out car and truck club, which currently has 43 members. Nick is working on his next project which he says will be even bigger and better.
