Firestone Work-Rite
New Applications for Dodge Ram, Ford F-Series and Nissan Titan

February 3, 2010

The Firestone Work-Rite is a load management system to assist when hauling or towing. The system uses injection-molded microcellular urethane springs to supplement the factory suspension system. The springs offer variable resistance and help absorb bumps and improve ride for better handling when loaded. When unloaded, the system will not affect the ride.

The Work-Rite springs are available in three load ratings and are easily identified by color: white for 1/2-ton trucks, gray for 3/4-ton trucks and black for 1-ton trucks. Two heights are also available: 3.7 inches and 5.2 inches, so the appropriate height can be chosen for each specific application.

The system works similarly to an air-over-leaf load assist without the hassles of monitoring or adjusting air pressure. The setup is maintenance-free and most applications can be installed without drilling. The kits include spacers to adjust the system for different load demands. The basic kit includes load assist springs, brackets, instructions and mounting hardware. Installation can be performed in under an hour using basic hand tools.

Firestone has added applications for the 2009+ Dodge Ram 1500, Ford F-Series pickups and 2004-2009 Nissan Titan. With these additions, the Work-Rite applications now cover Chevrolet, GMC, Dodge and Ford trucks produced within the last decade.
