Tuck and Scrape
This low full-size belongs to George Garcia. He informs us he took
his brand new 1997 Chevrolet 1/2-ton 3-door extended-cab truck to get a major suspension
workover with less than 500 miles on the odometer.
He brought his truck to the Chop Shop in Escondido, CA, where they
handled all the suspension and body work. The truck uses a TCI four-link rear suspension,
fitted with airbags for complete height adjustibility. The front uses Belltech 2-inch drop
spindles and more airbags.
And check out those wheels! George went all-out on a set of 20-inch
Chrome Antera style 143 wheels. They are fitted with Michelin Pilot SX MXX3 rubber
(275/35r20).
Body mods include shaved tailgate and tail lights, a Sir Michael's
rollpan with hide-a-hitch trailer hitch. The front of the truck features a smoothie front
bumper, Billet grill, clear corner lenses, and a smooth cowl cover from Traders. A
fiberglass toneau cover finishes off the smooth package.
